As a child, he had always viewed his uncle as stern and difficult. The man was known for his blunt comments, constant criticism, and serious demeanor, making family gatherings tense whenever he was around. Relatives often avoided him, and over time, the distance between him and the rest of the family only grew stronger.
When the family learned that his uncle had become seriously ill, very few people made an effort to visit. Although their relationship had never been close, the young man’s mother encouraged him to go to the hospital anyway.
